"Barcelona Streets" (2020), 28h x 35w, acrylic
The ancient city streets in old Barcelona interested me with their wandering paths and warm palette of muted colours punctuated by struggling greenery.
"Solace of Water" (2021), 20h x 20w, acrylic with wax finish
Many early spring hikes offer views of excited flows of water, over full with the melting snow. Along the sides of the rivers you can find bare trees with reddish bark and dry grasses yet to have taken on the greens of spring.
"Forest Shoreline" (2020), 28h x 35w, acrylic
Both the forest floor and the calm waters of a still pond offer reflections of the sky and the yellow greens of new mosses covering the fallen leaves from the previous autumn.
"Music on Every Corner" (2020), 28h x 35w, acrylic
On a trip to New Orleans I listened to families and individuals performing multiple musical styles. Every corner of the city was alive with music.

"Through the Gate" (2018), 20h x 16w, cold wax & oils
On a rainy day on Toronto Island I enjoyed the vibrant greens of the wet grass and the decorative planters scattered around the ferry docks. But it was the fence grid that gave my painting it's structure.
"Rock Outcropping" (2017) 24h x24w, acrylic and paper on canvas
The view of a simple rock outcropping on a bright sunny winter day gave life to this painting.
