ARTIST'S RESIDENCY
> Chateau d'Orquevaux: In April 2025, Catherine was awarded a Denis Diderot Grant to attend the Chateau d'Orquevaux International Artists & Writers Residency where she created "The Colour of Conversation" that was acquired for the Diderot Gallery's permanent collection.
The Chateau d'Orquevaux offered respite from "real" world energy and responsibilities. This magnificent estate in the French countryside of Champagne-Ardenne offered artists, writers and musicians a place with limited distraction, an abundance of natural inspiration and individual studio spaces.
The residency was creatively self-motivated with most of the meals provided, so that creatives were fully immersed in the environment and the French country lifestyle. There were 25 artists-in-residence who shared ideas and their individual creative practices with each other. along with time to create there were workshops to enhance and inspire.
