Making it up as I go along...

Terracotta Coastline

6/1/2024

"Terracotta Coastline", acrylic, 24"x24"
I am thrilled to introduce you to my artwork titled "Terracotta Coastline." This 24x24 inch acrylic painting is a vibrant and dynamic abstract piece that is sure to capture your attention.

Inspired by the terracotta roofs of houses along the coast of the ocean, this artwork features a stunning interplay of colours dominated by shades of red, orange, and blue. The textures created by brushstrokes and layering of paint add depth and movement to the composition, while strokes and splatters of darker colours provide contrast. Glimpses of lighter colours offer highlights that bring complexity to the piece, evoking a sense of emotion and energy.

Creating this artwork was a unique and exciting process for me. I was able to capture the essence of the terracotta coastline and translate it onto canvas in a way that is both vibrant and captivating. The framed piece is now ready to be enjoyed in any space, adding a touch of warmth and energy to your surroundings.

I hope you will enjoy "Terracotta Coastline" as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you for your support and appreciation of my artistry. Stay tuned for more updates and new works in the future!

I am preoccupied by the intuitive journey that paint takes me on with its colour and texture when working with layers that can be revealed through scratching back, rubbing away or lifting, to bring back the history of the previous layers.
