New directions for 2009 Play and experimentation Throughout 2008 Catherine has been playing with new art techniques and experimenting on fresh canvases. The last of the tie series was painted in 2008 in preparation of a large solo show. And in 2008 they started their tours of exhibition spaces including the Mississippi Mills Textile Museum and the Ottawa's International airport. In 2009 you'll be able to catch them at the Trinity Memorial Art Gallery.
As for what's coming for 2009? There will be a series of Monoprints pulled from Gelatin plates on paper. These will more than likely migrate from just prints to full blown contemporary mixed media works on paper. You will also see more mixed media painted Art Quilts and Collage/Paint stories on increasingly larger canvases. Below are a few initial examples to kick off these works.
